Software Differences

Many a times when someone wants to buy a computer, he or she will be extremely doubtful on whether to buy Windows Operating System (Windows) or Apple’s Macintosh Operating System (Mac OS)? Some will say that Windows is better whereas others prefer Mac OS. This debate has been ongoing since the creation of these softwares, so would it be good to get software help to know the difference between them?

The similarity between these two operating systems is that they both use a windowed-style Graphical User Interface (GUI) and they also contain a program for using the Command Line Interface (CLI).

The differences however are very noticeable when it comes to the fluidity of the system. Windows tend to lag when the user runs too many programs at once and when this happens, the software will be unresponsive. Windows is also criticized for having fewer features while Mac OS is easy and simple to use because it does not lag so often and packs in more features.

Although Mac OS is much more preferred but then it does not support many programs due to incompatibility. This is because Mac OS has a very tight security in which it had already been preinstalled together with the computer. Windows on the other hand could support almost all the programs that are available.

Mac OS is mostly preferred for people who are in the graphics designing industry as it does not lag as often compared to Windows. On the other hand, Windows is favored by gamers and business people as they find Windows much more user friendly since any programs can run on a Windows.

So, the final advice in software help is that Windows can also run Mac OS. This means that you can install Mac OS together with your Windows in the computer. Therefore if you are doubtful on whether to get a Mac OS or Windows, you can always get the Windows first and then install Mac OS into the computer. That way you are getting the best of both worlds.
